Heroes abounded for the Bossing, who drew several key contributions from Mike Ayonayon, Jewel Ponferrada, Jaydee Tungcab and RK Ilagan at a time when they were missing import George King (ankle) and Sedrick Barefield (heel).
Phoenix got the goods from import Donovan Smith who had 32 points. Jason Perkins chipped in 19 more while RJ Jazul 12 but against a Blackwater crew enjoying a collective effort, the Fuel Masters settled for yet another tough loss and dropped to an identical 3-8 mark.
Blackwater, should it stays in contention, can stay alive when it tackles NorthPort this Saturday at the same venue.
