On September 10, two elite running backs will face one another in a boxing match. Inside Banc of California Stadium, Adrian Peterson will fight Le’Veon Bell. It is all a part of a Social Gloves-produced event main evented by Austin McBroom vs. AnEsonGib.
Adrian Peterson fast facts
Peterson was one of the most dominant running backs of all time. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2007 NFL Draft, following a dominant run at Oklahoma. He set an NFL record his rookie year for the most rushing yards in a single game (296). A seven-time Pro Bowler, Peterson tore his ACL and MCL in 2011. In 2012, he returned for a season to remember, rushing for 2,097 yards. He won the MVP Award in the process.
Peterson has since played for the Saints, Cardinals, Redskins, Lions, Titans, and Seahawks. He became the first NFL player to score a rushing touchdown for six different teams after reaching the end zone for Seattle in 2021.

Back in February, Peterson was arrested for a domestic violence incident with his wife on a flight to Houston. The charges were later dropped.
Le’Veon Bell fast facts
A second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bell is a three-time Pro Bowler. Following five years in Pittsburgh, Bell refused to sign a franchise tag and did not report to Steelers camp or any subsequent games. Becoming a free agent, Bell played for the Jets before joining the Chiefs and then the Ravens.
In December 2021, Brown signed with the Buccaneers and played in three games. He was released in January 2022, and like Peterson, is a free agent. Bell has said he will remain a free agent as he devotes time to boxing.
