If you’re hoping to buy a Zen 4-powered Ryzen 7000 CPU on day one, there’s some good news: AMD expects to have plenty of supplies on launch day, Sept. 27.

The company also decided to sell the CPUs a month from now, rather than sooner, to help retailers build up more product inventory.

The processors remained largely out of stock for about four months before supplies began to improve. During that time, scalpers exploited the demand by buying up the CPUs and selling them at inflated prices.
Hopefully, AMD can avoid a repeat. The company may have also picked the Sept. 27 launch date because Intel’s 13th Generation Core CPUs are rumored to be launching(Opens in a new window) on the same day.
