The iPhones are here! The iPhones are here! Those exclamation points might be a bit too much since the yearly arrival of Apple’s crop is no longer met with around-the-block lines. But if you want the digital equivalent of that, you can pre-order the lineup.
The 14 and 14 Plus have improved battery life and cameras over previous models, as well as the new Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via satellite safety features. The iPhone 14 starts at $799, while the 14 Plus starts at $899. And the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have a new A16 Bionic chip and a Dynamic Island feature that adapts to the activities on your phone. The 14 Pro starts at $999, while the Pro Max starts at $1,099.
These are, of course, the latest iPhones, so there aren’t any discounts per se. But there are definitely ways to save. You can trade in your old phone, sign on for a carrier payment plan, and see if you qualify for bill credits. Here’s what you need to know to get the best deal.
Apple’s iPhone 14 Event SupercutPre-Order Times
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will go on sale at the same time but ship nearly a month apart. Pre-orders begin at 5 a.m. PT on Sept. 9 for both phones. The iPhone 14 arrives on Sept. 16 and the iPhone 14 Plus arrives on Oct. 7.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max pre-orders also begin Sept. 9 at 5 a.m. PT, and both will be in stores starting Sept. 16.

Apple will sell the iPhone 14 via apple.com/store, the Apple Store app, and in Apple Stores. You can pay full price or in installments. Prices go up depending on how much storage you select, and Apple offers trade-ins(Opens in a new window) if you want to swap an older iPhone for a new one.

Pre-Order From AT&T
New and existing customers of AT&T can get the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro for free and the iPhone 14 Pro Max for $99 when trading in an eligible smartphone, on a qualifying installment, or with a qualifying unlimited plan.
To get that deal, you’ll have to sign up for an installment plan, and AT&T will issue you credits. The price of your unlimited plan plus that installment also has to run you at least $75 per month before discounts, and the phone you trade in must be worth at least $230.
Pre-orders for all the phones will start Sept. 9 and most will be available in-store and online on Sept. 16, with the iPhone 14 Plus coming in October.
The iPhone 14 is also coming to AT&T’s Cricket Wireless brand, but details were not announced.
Pre-Order From Verizon
Verizon pre-orders start at 8 a.m. ET on Sept. 9 via verizon.com, the My Verizon app and in Verizon stores. If you’re upgrading, Verizon says(Opens in a new window) you can save up to $800 on an iPhone 14 with a trade-in and select Unlimited plan. If you’re switching from another carrier, Verizon is offering an iPhone 14 Pro for free when you trade in a phone and activate a new Unlimited plan line. Verizon will also throw in a $200 e-gift card for switchers.
Verizon is also offering 25% off Apple MagSafe chargers, $100 off AirPods Max, and 20% off select cases and screen protectors for iPhone 14 series.

The carrier this week also announced One Unlimited for iPhone, which bundles Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+. It’s available for new and existing customers and includes unlimited premium data and Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband.
Pre-Order From T-Mobile
T-Mobile and Sprint customers can get a free iPhone 14 Pro or up to $1,000 off any iPhone 14 series with 24 monthly bill credits when trading in an eligible device if they have Magenta Max; Business Unlimited Advanced, Ultimate, or Ultimate+ for iPhone; or an equivalent Sprint plan.
They can get half off the iPhone 14 Pro or up to $500 off any iPhone 14 series with 24 monthly bill credits when trading in an eligible device on most T-Mobile plans.
Customers who add a line on most T-Mobile plans and buy an iPhone 14 can get a second one for free (up to $700 off) with 24 monthly bill credits.
