If it is too soon to speak of Liverpool being knocked out of the Premier League title race, a trip to the league leaders in their eighth game of the season already looks like a must-win for the Reds on Sunday.
Arsenal passed their sternest test of the season emphatically last Saturday by beating third-placed Tottenham 3-1, and the Gunners will move 14 points ahead of Liverpool if they win their seventh game out of eight so far.
With in-form Manchester City at home to 16th-placed Southampton the previous day, the chances are that even a draw would leave Liverpool 12 points shy of top spot – and Arsenal will start Sunday two points behind City if the favourites for the title win.

Arsenal vs. Liverpool betting odds
When Liverpool went through the gears to win 2-0 with two second-half goals at the Emirates Stadium in March, it took them a point behind City at the top of the table and earned them their fourth win of a five-match unbeaten run against Arsenal.
That explains why Arsenal are only narrow favourites to win despite their form and Liverpool’s failure to win in four attempts on the road so far this season, including a 4-1 thrashing by Napoli last time out and a goalless draw at Everton in the Premier League, in which they have not won since August.
The draw, which is placed as the outside result, would do little to help either side.
