A beautician was stunned when she spotted the face of Jesus Christ in her bronzing makeup kit.

Keely Passmore was doing her usual morning makeup routine at home in Exeter, Devon, when she made the discovery.

Looking down at her Body Shop bronzer, she was sure she had spotted the face of Jesus staring back at her.

The 28-year-old studied it more closely, only to be further convinced the tan-coloured powder depicted the saintly image all its shimmery glory – complete with a long beard, distinctive eyes and a glowing white face.

But to be sure, she shared the image with a few friends to test whether they too saw the holy resemblance.

The Exeter-woman said the majority of her friends were also stunned and said they could see what she was seeing.

Keely said: “I saw the typical long hair, hippy look. Jesus was the first person that came to my head.

“The white bits are what makes it. And then the darker bits would be the eyes and the beard.

“It went straight in the group chat. I just thought it was really weird.

“I sent it [to my friends] originally, asking ‘Is it just me or can anyone else see that?’ 80% of people do see it.

“It hasn’t had any religious significance — I just thought it was cool more than anything.”

Keely’s bronzer that houses the lookalike image of Jesus is now being treated like a sacred relic, with it being put one side to ensure the so-called icon remains in place.

“I didn’t use the bronzer after I saw the face. I decided to preserve it because I thought that it’s so cool. We can preserve it like the mummies,” Keely added.

When she put the image online, it quickly went viral.

It racked up more than 2,000 likes, shares and comments in less than 24 hours, leaving the make-up professional astonished.

Most commenters agreed with the Jesus comparison, even announcing that it had spawned a new catch-phrase.

One Facebook user said: “‘Jesus in my bronzer’ is the phrase I will call out when I am shocked by anything from now on.”

Not everyone was convinced it was a picture of Christ, however.

One instead compared the vision to notorious cult leader and Manson Family leader, Charles Manson.

The cult around Manson was responsible for a series of killings in the 1960s, including murdering Hollywood actress Sharon Tate.

Posting under Keely’s picture, a person said: “That honestly looks more like Charles Manson.”
