Best DraftKings Picks Preseason Week 1: NFL DFS lineup advice for Friday’s contests

Friday night’s NFL preseason slate provides daily fantasy football players the chance to get back in action. While there are a total of five preseason games on Friday, only four are included in DraftKings classic contests, as you won’t be able to ride the Dan Campbell hype train and stack Lions players (or Falcons players, for that matter). Nonetheless, there are plenty of intriguing NFL DFS picks in what’s sure to be an unpredictable Week 1 of the preseason.

Two of the four available games on the slate really stick out, as Trey Lance and the 49ers host the Packers and Deshaun Watson takes first-team reps against Jacksonville. With every player priced at $5,500, you need to find players who will have a high number of snaps in order to field a winning lineup.

Below, we’ll look at some of our favorite DFS lineup picks for Friday night’s slate.

Best DraftKings Picks Preseason Week 1: NFL DFS lineup advice

QB Jordan Love, Packers ($5,500)

With Matt LaFleur announcing Love will start Friday night, he’s a worthwhile addition as your QB. The only other QB listed on the Packers depth chart is Danny Etling, so there’s some merit in each QB playing one half. Love’s out to prove he’s still worthy of being the heir apparent to Aaron Rodgers, and a solid preseason showing is really a must for him.

RB Mekhi Sargent, Jaguars ($5,500)

Sargent was the most utilized RB for Jacksonville in last week’s Hall of Fame Game, most notably in the passing game. Sargent hauled in five receptions for 37 yards, and a similar output tonight gives you a shot to get into the money. Sargent tallied a total of 10 touches, and another 10-plus touch night could result in a solid fantasy output.

RB Tyler Goodson, Packers ($5,500)

Another former Iowa Hawkeye tailback makes the list, as Goodson has a chance to see a fair amount of snaps. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion have nothing to prove, and with Kylin Hill on the PUP, expect Goodson to be a high-usage player tonight.

WR Deon Cain, Eagles ($5,500)

With Cain lower in the Eagles’ WR depth chart, he’s likely to get some run against the Jets tonight. Cain has done his part so far during Philadelphia’s training camp, and a solid preseason showing gives him the upper hand in securing a roster spot.

WR Samori Toure, Packers ($5,500)

Toure’s another Packer who’s likely to see a high number of snaps tonight, as the Nebraska product has a chance to vault up Green Bay’s WR depth chart with an effective preseason. Toure has big-play ability, and while it was only Family Night at Lambeau, he and Love put on a show for everyone in attendance last Saturday.
