Anyone who’s played fantasy football for more than one season knows that out-of-nowhere difference-makers emerge late every year, so we shouldn’t be surprised that JaMycal Hasty and Zonovan Knight are among the top Week 13 fantasy waiver wire pickups and free agent adds, should we? Well, we still are because most fantasy owners didn’t know Zonovan Knight existed before about 1:10 p.m. ET on Sunday. Now you do, and now you need to pick him up.
Fortunately, our full free agent list features a few players you have heard of, including Kyren Williams, Treylon Burks, DeAndre Carter, Zay Jones, and Jameson Williams, but if those guys are still on your waiver wire at this point in the season, chances are you’re not too excited by them even if you should be. There are just two teams on bye in Week 13 (Panthers, Cardinals), but we still have a good number of one-week fill-ins, especially at defense. Neither Hasty nor Knight is a lock to start next week (see below), so it’s tough to recommend using a high waiver claim on either. However, given the time of year, you might have to, especially if you’re hurting at RB. We’re running out of time to use those high-priority claims, and if you’re fighting for your postseason life, you can’t take any chances.
Jones, Kyren Williams, and Jameson Williams are all worth low claims, but again, if you’re in a shallow league where these guys are still available, you might be able to wait until free agency to snag one. Because Jones is a prime streamer next week, he’s worth a little more to WR-needy teams, but Jameson Williams could certainly have a high ceiling going forward. You should wait until free agency for the rest of the streamers unless you’re really in a bind at a certain position. Fortunately, there are several worthwhile QBs, TEs, and D/STs, so you have options.
