A bridesmaid claims she was given a telling off by a bride-to-be after getting a boob job before the wedding, with the frantic woman fearing the op would overshadow her special day

A bridesmaid says the bride-to-be took serious issue with her getting a boob job before the wedding, and has not held back in letting her know exactly how she feels. According to this 25-year-old woman, the bride had already been told she’d be going under the knife, but apparently hadn’t taken her plans seriously.
The baffled bridesmaid was initially thrilled with the results of her bust enhancement, and excitedly FaceTimed the bride to tell her all about it. Although her pal was “kinda laughing”, she could tell at once she was “surprised in a bad way.” Around 15 minutes after they ended the call, the bride sent over a very lengthy text message, making the extent of her fury known.

In a Reddit post that has since been deleted but has been shared elsewhere, the dismayed bridesmaid recalled the contents of the message: “Something like: ‘just so you know, this is super inconsiderate because you know my wedding is soon. You know people will notice on the day and talk about it. Which isn’t actually the topic of discussion I desired on my wedding day’.”
Shocked, she rang the bride in an attempt to try and “salvage the situation”, reassuring her that she wouldn’t be wearing a dress that wouldn’t “accentuate [her] assets.” However, the bride’s temper could not be cooled.
The bridesmaid continued: “She gets p***** again, [telling me] how I cannot be different from her other bridesmaids, and I just offered to come as a guest if she wanted.
“Here I’d like to mention that to be her bridesmaid, she had rules like not wearing my engagement ring, cutting my nails short, not getting professional make-up, to which I’ve always said okay, so I’m not a bridesmaidzilla or whatever it is. So she says, ‘No. You knew you should have waited. One day was about me, one. I don’t know what to tell you and I feel like you did it on purpose.”
The call did not exactly end on a good note, and when she later texted the bride to ask whether it would be better if she just didn’t come at all, she received a curt thumbs-up emoji in response.
The husband-to-be later rang her fiancé telling him the bride was now “crying her eyes out.” However, the bridesmaid just isn’t sure what she can do to appease her other than “ripping them out”, and has turned to fellow Reddit users for advice.
One person commented: “You’re not in the wrong love. The fact that she is making sure her bridesmaids look like wallflowers says a lot about her. She is making the day all about her but by putting people down, not taking herself up. She is pathetic and ridiculous. Enjoy your day with long nails, professional make-up, your engagement ring, and real friends.”
Another advised: “It’s her fault that she didn’t take you seriously. Don’t go if you don’t feel like you are welcome. Let her regret not having a good friend by her side. She doesn’t get to police choices made to your body. She can politely request appearance changes (makeup, nails, hair, accessories) but that’s about it.”
