The debate over how to make the perfect cup of tea will rage on forever – but there are some sickening methods we can all agree should be illegal. Most of us believe the tea bag goes in first, followed by hot water and then milk.
Although one supposed expert recently horrified people by claiming that they had researched the perfect science behind the ultimate cup of tea and decided the milk should be poured in before anything else. People have also come up with a number of tricks and hacks to make the process quicker and easier – but one has left people ‘shaken’ to the core.

Workers in one office were forced to put a sign on the kettle to stop the culprit from repeating his dastardly act.
And we can only hope and pray the passive aggresive note stops them from ever repeating this sinful attempt to make multiple cups of tea in one go.
Someone in the office, who was not named and shamed, had been putting tea bags straight in the kettle.
Could they have come up with a genius way to make large batches of tea? Or have they completely lost their mind?
Their colleagues clearly believe the latter as they taped down a handdrawn note on the kettle in thick red felt tip pen with a stark warning.
It simply read: “Please do not put tea bags in kettle.”
The baffling note was shared on the No Context Brits Twitter account with the caption “Some people…” and has received a lot of attention.
Many Brits were horrified by what was going on and rushed to give their views – and trying to work out what sort of person would commit such an atrocity.
“I’m shaken,” wrote one person who was clearly struggling to type.
Another in disbelief added: “They did WHAT???”
However, there were some people who defended it, with one person asking: “It’s the most efficient way to make 8 cups of tea. What’s the problem?”
Another suggested: “Actually, this would make a more flavoursome cup of tea. An ACTUAL brew.”
It prompted others to reveal the tea-based crimes that are being commited by people they know.
One person revealed: “Someone once told me that a French friend had tried to make tea by putting the tea(-bags?) and water in a teapot which they then put into an oven.”
“A cousin of mine ruined one of his when he was a student in his dorm and decided that he was lazy and made instant noodles by chucking all the ingredients into the electric jug and boiling it,” said another.
A third wrote: “I put hotdogs in the kettle at work several times. Hey, have to make do when there is no kitchen eh?”
“I’m not joking, I once knew a girl who put a Pot Noodle in a kettle. She’d never made one before and just guessed. Wrote the kettle off,” explained a fourth.
