Broncos vs. Jaguars live score, updates, highlights from 2022 NFL London game

The NFL will play its third and final international game in London this season Sunday when the “hometown” Jaguars take on the Broncos.

Jacksonville (2-5) has made a home in London; this will be their ninth game there. Trevor Lawrence and Co. won their London game in 2021, a 23-20 victory over the Dolphins.

Russell Wilson and the Broncos (2-5) will look to turn their season around across the pond. First-year coach Nathaniel Hackett confirmed Friday that his struggling quarterback would play after being doubtful entering the week. (Whether his high knees on the plane to London had anything to do with it is uncertain).

Broncos vs. Jaguars updates, highlights from London game

(All times Eastern)

Second quarter: Jaguars 7, Broncos 0

10:19 a.m.: There’s a huge run by Etienne, who gets a nice block by Robinson and makes a man miss to get a 49-yard run to the Denver 24. Huge play there.

10:17 a.m.: Delay of game, Broncos. So that answers any question of whether Denver would go for it on fourth down. Jags take over at their 26 following the punt.

10:16 a.m.: That’s a questionable spot on third-and-1, but it appears the Broncos will punt on fourth-and-short from the 29 1/2-yard line.

10:12 a.m.: Interception, Broncos. Incredible play by Simmons, who catches a hummer of a pass from Lawrence and lands inside the end zone for a touchback. Huge stand by the defense, which looked like it was ready to surrender its second touchdown of the day.

10:11 a.m.: Patrick Surtain II wraps his arms around Zay Jones on second-and-goal; he’s called for pass interference, resulting in a first-and-goal at the 1.

10:09 a.m.: Simmons is called for holding on second-and-goal against Engram. He was holding onto him for dear life, resulting in a 3-yard penalty and a first down.

10:07 a.m.: Etienne takes a 2-yard keeper out of the Wildcat to net a first down to the Denver 17. And now he has a 12-yard gain down to the 5-yard line. Jaguars are knocking for another touchdown.

First quarter: Jaguars 7, Broncos 0

10:03 a.m.: And now Justin Simmons is called for a 15-yard penalty after taunting. That gives the Jags a first down at Denver’s 28-yard line.

10:01 a.m.: Cornerback K’Waun Williams blows the play up in the backfield, but is hit with a 15-yard penalty because he dove into Cam Robinson’s legs to tackle Etienne. That’s a first down for Jacksonville at the Denver 42.

9:58 a.m.: Travis Etienne converts third down with a 5-yard pitch-out left to the Jacksonville 33.

9:53 a.m.: Broncos go three-and-out after holding and false start put the offense way behind the sticks. Jaguars take over at their 19 following the punt.

9:46 a.m.: TOUCHDOWN, JAGUARS. Etienne shows poise in the pocket and finds Engram in the end zone with safety Kareem Jackson in coverage. Jaguars lead 7-0 with 7:40 left in the first quarter.

9:44 a.m.: Travis Etienne takes it 15 yards on second-and-14 to net a first down at the Broncos’ 26. Nice play design to lure the defense left on a fake reverse to Christian Kirk.

9:41 a.m.: Interception, Jaguars. Tyson Campbell picks off Wilson in defense of Courtland Sutton. Very bad throw by Wilson, who gives the Jaguars at the Denver 37.

9:37 a.m.: Trevor Lawrence has Evan Engram down the sideline, but can’t connect on what would have been a big game. Denver takes over at roughly its 17-yard line following the punt.

9:35 a.m.: Jags get a first down off a neutral-zone infraction to the Jacksonville 38-yard line.

9:33 a.m.: Well, that was quick. The Broncos go three-and-out following a third-down 7-yard sack by Arden Key of Russell Wilson. The Jaguars are up now.
