It’s once again time to virtually enlist. The Call of Duty cycle continues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, developed by Infinity Ward. The massively popular first-person shooter has a huge mainstream audience, and its high production value means that, with the right hardware, the game provides the immersion that would-be soldiers are looking for in a military title. Find out if your rig is tough enough for this PC game.
Why the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Hype?

If you’ve totally lost the thread on Call of Duty’s naming conventions, let us explain. In 2009, Activision released a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Later, in 2019, the publisher rebooted the series with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This latest game is a sequel to that reboot.
The Modern Warfare reboot was well-received, with audiences stating that the game lived up to its legendary branding. So expectations are similarly high for the sequel. Also, this is the last Call of Duty game before the franchise takes its first break from an annual release schedule. Modern Warfare II needs to be good enough to hold us over until 2024. Finally, Modern Warfare II also brings an evolution of the franchise’s wildly popular battle royale mode: Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. That free-to-play PC game launches November 16.
