For the first time since 2012, Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall face off inside a boxing ring. The two will fight to determine the undisputed middleweight champion on October 15.
The bout takes place at London’s O2 Arena. Originally set for September 10, the death of Queen Elizabeth II forced the fight card to be moved.
Shields, looking to become a two-time undisputed middleweight champion, knows the goal is still the same, regardless of the date. The “G.W.O.A.T.” is as confident as ever heading into the fight.
The main card of Shields vs. Marshall should begin at 2 p.m. ET | 7 p.m. BST | 4 a.m. AEST. The Sporting News will be providing live updates and highlights from Shields-Marshall and Mayer-Baumgardner. Stay tuned.
