Claressa Shields vs. Savannah Marshall undercard: Complete list of fights before main event in 2022 boxing match

Claressa Shields is looking to become a two-time undisputed middleweight champion. To do that, she must get past rival Savannah Marshall on Sept. 10 at London’s O2 Arena.

Shields and Marshall will compete in a rematch years in the making. Marshall beat Shields at the amateur level, the only blemish in Shields’ boxing career. Now, Shields will defend the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBF and The Ring middleweight titles while Marshall will defend the WBO title on an all-women’s boxing card.

The co-main event will be Mikaela Mayer, the WBO, IBF and The Ring female junior lightweight champion, facing WBC and IBO champion Alycia Baumgardner for all the gold.

Who else will be fighting? The Sporting News looks into the undercard of Shields-Marshall and Mayer-Baumgardner.

Aside from the two title-fight grudge matches, Caroline Dubois will face Milena Koleva. Dubois is a two-time English National Youth champion, a three-time European Junior champion and a Youth Olympics gold medalist. The 21-year-old has won all three of her fights in 2022. Her last outing was a TKO win over Happy Daudi in July. Koleva (10-14-1) made her pro debut in 2008. The former GBC featherweight champion is 1-3 in her last four fights and has lost her last three in a row. Koleva lost to Lucie Sedlackova in May via points.
