Cowboys vs. Packers final score, results: Aaron Rodgers leads Green Bay to comeback win over Dallas

Hear that? It’s the sound of alarm bells ringing in Green Bay, Wis.

The Packers are off to their worst start since 2005 after losing their fifth game in a row last week to the Lions. Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur have been unable to solve the team’s offensive issues, and a rough season seemingly bottomed out with that 15-9 loss in Detroit.

But they’re not out of trouble yet. They’ll take on the 6-2 Cowboys this week in an NFC showdown at Lambeau Field.

Dak Prescott’s return from a thumb injury has coincided with two straight wins for the Cowboys. Last time out, the quarterback produced three total touchdowns in a 49-29 beatdown of the Bears.

Running back Tony Pollard exploded for 131 yards and three TDs in that game. He’ll continue getting the bulk of the carries with his backfield partner Ezekiel Elliott missing a second straight game with a knee sprain.

But the strong suit of this Dallas team is its defense. The unit was allowing the third-fewest points per game in the NFL after Week 9, and a mouthwatering matchup against the sputtering Green Bay offense awaits Sunday.

Will Rodgers and the Packers finally turn their season around? Or will Prescott and the Cowboys keep piling on the misery?

Cowboys vs. Packers live updates, highlights from NFL Week 10 game

(All times Eastern.)

8:02 p.m. — That’ll do it for our live updates tonight. The Packers will leave Lambeau Field victorious after a comeback win over the Cowboys.

8:00 p.m. — What a comeback, and what a game! That is an absolutely massive win for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. That could be the first step in getting their difficult season back on track.

7:57 p.m. FINAL — The kick is GOOD! Crosby walks it off and the Packers win it in overtime!

7:56 p.m. — Rodgers centers the ball between the hashmarks, and Crosby trots on to try and complete the comeback.

7:55 p.m. — On the next play, Jones runs left (with Rodgers as his lead blocker) and picks up about 5 yards. After a facemask penalty on the Cowboys, we are a short Mason Crosby field goal away from this game being over.

7:54 p.m. — HUGE PLAY! Rodgers finds Lazard over the middle, and he charges all the way down to the Dallas 20-yard line! A field goal will win this game, and they’re already well within range.

7:50 p.m. — Despite being within kicker Brett Maher’s field goal range, McCarthy rolls the dice and goes for it on 4th down. Prescott is looking to throw, but he gets dragged down in the process and the ball hits the grass incomplete! The Packers will take over!

7:49 p.m. — On 3rd and 4, Prescott is looking for Lamb, but it’s broken up by Jaire Alexander. That coverage was… very tight. Some officials might have called pass interference there, but the tonight’s crew did not and we play on. It looks like Dallas may go for this on 4th down, somewhat surprisingly.

7:47 p.m. — Another costly penalty goes against the Cowboys, this time it’s for holding on Connor McGovern. That’ll back them up out of Packers territory.

7:45 p.m. — A rare offensive offside penalty moves Dallas back 5 yards. Rookie receiver Jalen Tolbert was lined up way past the line of scrimmage.

7:43 p.m. — After a solid run from Pollard, Prescott fires a strike to Lamb, who absorbs a big hit and is able to hang on for a gain of 15 yards.

7:41 p.m. — The Cowboys win the toss, and they’ll receive the ball first. Prescott and Co. can win it with a touchdown on this drive.

End of regulation: Cowboys 28, Packers 28

7:36 p.m. — They can’t, and we’ve got free football coming up from Green Bay. This has been a really interesting game so far. Who will come out on top?

7:34 p.m. — After an incompletion on first down, Pollard takes the handoff on 2nd for a gain of about 10 yards. The Cowboys take a timeout with two seconds left in regulation, but they’ll have to find a way to score from about 70 yards out on this play.

7:32 p.m. — Well, that was a dud. Rodgers rolls left and can’t find anyone to throw to, so he’s forced to just chuck it into the dirt. He was visibly upset with his head coach Matt LaFleur coming off the field, possibly about the play call. Green Bay will have to punt it away with about 20 seconds left in regulation.

7:30 p.m. — Two handoffs to Jones pick up about 9 yards and wind the clock all the way down to 30 seconds. The Packers use their second timeout. They need about 20-25 yards to move into field goal range.

7:27 p.m. — A 2nd down incompletion sets up 3rd and 7 for Prescott. He takes the snap out of the shotgun and floats one down the left sideline for Gallup, but the pass is overthrown and hits the turf incomplete. Against all odds, Aaron Rodgers is going to have a shot to win this game.

7:24 p.m. TWO-MINUTE WARNING — Dallas’ drive starts with a short Pollard run, and that’ll take us to the two-minute warning. Any points on this drive would be huge for the Cowboys.

Cowboys 28, Packers 28

7:21 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — IT’S HIM AGAIN. Christian Watson has his third touchdown of the night! Mason Crosby’s extra point is good, and the Packers have come all the way back to tie it up! What a game!

7:19 p.m. — Jones checks in, and he proceeds to rip off a great run for a gain of 26 yards. He fumbled the ball at the end of the play, but managed to get back on top of it to recover. That could have been disastrous. Green Bay is on the edge of the red zone now.

7:17 p.m. — Dillon rumbles for a gain of 17 yards to move the Packers close to midfield. The clock is ticking towards five minutes remaining, but the clock isn’t an issue yet.

7:16 p.m. — The Packers quickly face a 3rd and 2, but Rodgers is able to find Watson once again for a first down gain. The rookie is having a big day.

7:10 p.m. — Facing another long 3rd down, Prescott can’t escape the pressure this time and he’s dropped for a sack. Green Bay is going to get the ball back deep in their own end with a chance to tie this up.

7:07 p.m. — With a heavy blitz coming at him, Prescott does a great job on 3rd and 6 to sling it left to Gallup for a first down gain. He’s bounced back well after a sloppy first half.

Cowboys 28, Packers 21

7:02 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Boy, did the Packers need that! Rodgers heaves it deep over the middle for Christian Watson, who makes the catch and runs in for his second touchdown of the game! What a call, what a play. Green Bay is right back in this thing now.

7:00 p.m. — Dillon runs for a few yards to set up 3rd and 7, but Rodgers’ pass to Lazard falls incomplete to bring up 4th down. It looks like Matt LaFleur will go for this.

End of third quarter: Cowboys 28, Packers 14

6:55 p.m. — On 3rd and 3, Rodgers uses his legs to pick up the first down and keep the drive alive. Two plays later, he zips one over the middle to Sammy Watkins for 14 yards to move into Dallas territory. That’ll take us to the end of the quarter. The Packers have their work cut out for them now.

Cowboys 28, Packers 14

6:47 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Prescott tosses deep left to Lamb, who jogs in for a 35 yard house call! That’s his second of the day! Lamb burned Jaire Alexander on that route, which is what allowed him to get so open. He’s a real stud.

6:43 p.m. — The Cowboys get it back, but an intentional grounding penalty leads to a 3rd and 9. Prescott drops back and whips it to Lamb over the middle for a gain of 14 yards to move the chains. Points here would be huge for Dallas.

6:35 p.m. — They can’t get anything going on the ensuing drive. After Rodgers is sacked by Sam Williams for a huge loss on 3rd and 4, Green Bay has to send in the punting unit once again.

6:33 p.m. — This game has been defined by costly turnovers. Will the Packers’ offense have another answer?

Cowboys 21, Packers 14

6:30 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — What a huge momentum swing! Pollard has a huge hole to run through, and he jukes a few defenders near the goal line to jog in for an easy score! The Cowboys have retaken the lead.

6:29 p.m. — Dallas takes over near midfield, and immediately Prescott makes the Packers pay for their mistake with a 30 yard strike to Lamb to move into the red zone.

6:27 p.m. FUMBLE — I spoke too soon! Amari Rodgers fielded the punt cleanly, but he fumbled on the return and it’s covered up by the Cowboys! That is a back-breaking turnover for Green Bay.

6:25 p.m. — Dallas quickly faces a 3rd and 6. Prescott drops back and throws to Noah Brown, who makes the catch but comes up well short of the line to gain. The Packers will get it back right away.

6:20 p.m. — On 3rd and 4, Rodgers goes deep again for Watson, but the receiver never saw the ball and it falls incomplete. The Packers briefly looked as though they might go for it on 4th and 4, but they were just trying to draw the defense offside. The Cowboys will get the ball back deep in their own end after an unnecessary roughness penalty on the punt.

6:16 p.m. — Rodgers makes a beautiful throw to Sammy Watkins, who hauls it in for a pickup of 23 yards to move into Cowboys territory.

6:12 p.m. START OF SECOND HALF — The second half is underway, with Rodgers and the Packers getting the ball first.

End of first half: Packers 14, Cowboys 14

6:00 p.m. — Keisean Nixon runs around for a bit on the ensuing kickoff, but he goes nowhere and that’ll end the half. The Packers have been impressive so far as home underdogs, but that drive to end the half was huge for the Cowboys. This is setting up for a good finish.

Packers 14, Cowboys 14

5:56 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — What a drive! Prescott fires it out right to the tight end Dalton Schultz, who keeps his balance and extends the ball into the end zone for a touchdown! This has been a very entertaining first half.

5:55 p.m. — The Cowboys creep into Packers territory after a few more short completions. On 3rd and 1, Prescott fires over the middle to Gallup for a gain of 23 yards! Dallas is in the red zone.

5:50 p.m. — Prescott and the Cowboys get the ball back with 1:37 left in the half. A pair of short throws to Lamb quickly moves them close to midfield.

Packers 14, Cowboys 7

5:46 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Jones takes the handoff and finds daylight to his left. He surges forward and dives into the end zone to give the Packers the lead! There was definitely a nod to Marshawn Lynch in his dive over the goal line.

5:43 p.m. TWO-MINUTE WARNING — After a short run, we head to the two-minute warning with the Packers on the fringe of the red zone.

5:40 p.m. INTERCEPTION — RUDY, RUDY, RUDY! It’s Ford again! What a game for him so far! Prescott was looking over the middle for CeeDee Lamb, but Ford jumped the route and returned it all the way down to about the Dallas 25-yard line!

5:35 p.m. — The Cowboys do go for it, running another sneak to Prescott, but he gets stuffed behind the line! He absorbs the contact and keeps his legs churning, and with his second effort he just barely picks up the first down! There must have been about one millimeter of that ball past the marker.

5:32 p.m. — Facing 3rd and 6, Prescott hands it off to Pollard, who comes up just shy of the line to gain. The Cowboys’ offense goes hurry-up and it looks like they’re gonna go for it, but Green Bay calls a timeout before they can snap it. We’ll see how bold Mike McCarthy wants to be at this early stage.

Cowboys 7, Packers 7

5:22 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Out of nothing, we have a tie game! Rodgers heaves it deep down the field to the rookie Christian Watson, who hauls it in and sprints to the house for a 58-yard touchdown! What a huge swing in the past few minutes.

5:19 p.m. — Jones has a nice 11 yard run wiped out by an offsetting holding penalty, but he follows it up with a gain of 7 to set up 3rd and 1.

5:15 p.m. INTERCEPTION — WOW. Huge play for Green Bay! Prescott looks to throw on 3rd and goal, rolling to his right and firing into the end zone. But it’s intercepted by Johnathan “Rudy” Ford, who runs it all the way out to about the 35-yard line! A much-needed takeaway for the Packers’ defense.

5:12 p.m. FUMBLE — Uh oh. Things go from bad to worse for the Packers. Rodgers drops back to throw on 3rd and 3, but he gets sacked and coughs up the football. Dallas’ Jayron Kearse comes up with it, and the Cowboys have the ball back in the red zone again!

Cowboys 7, Packers 0

5:06 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Prescott finds Lamb again on a flat route, and this time he shakes off a few tackles and leaps into the end zone for a touchdown! The Cowboys strike first.

5:04 p.m. — Prescott completes a pass to Lamb to move inside the 10. Cowboys receiver Michael Gallup was hurt on the play, but it doesn’t look too serious.

5:02 p.m. — Facing 3rd and 1, Prescott uses his legs to move the chains once again. The Cowboys have it in the red zone now.

5:00 p.m. — On 3rd and 4, Pollard runs up the middle but he comes up just short. Mike McCarthy will go for it on 4th and 1… and Prescott sneaks up the middle to just barely pick up another first down.

End of first quarter: Cowboys 0, Packers 0

4:56 p.m. — A holding penalty backs the Cowboys up, but Pollard busts off a 14 yard run to move the chains on 2nd and 13. A few plays later, Prescott completes his first downfield throw of the day to CeeDee Lamb, who picks up 21. That’ll end the first quarter. It’s Dallas ball on the Green Bay 40.

4:53 p.m. — Viewers can now find the game on FOX after the conclusion of that Bills vs. Vikings game (the Vikings won it, 33-30 in overtime).

4:47 p.m. — On 3rd and 2, Jones gets dragged down for a loss of 3 to bring up 4th down. After a delay of game penalty, the Packers are outside of field goal range and they’ll have to punt it right back.

4:45 p.m. — Green Bay continues to pound the run game early. Jones breaks loose for a nice gain of 17 yards to move into Dallas territory, then Dillon bulldozes ahead for 8 more.

4:42 p.m. — Once again, Dak and the Cowboys’ offense goes nowhere. Tony Pollard starts the drve with a 4 yard run, but two Prescott incompletions bring up 4th down. That’s another three-and-out. A very rough start for Prescott this afternoon, he’s 0 of 4 so far.

4:39 p.m. — Crosby’s kick is NO GOOD. It was way off from long range. Dallas will take over.

4:38 p.m. — A pair of Rodgers incompletions brings up 4th and 5 from the Dallas 36. Mason Crosby will come on to try a long, tough field goal.

4:37 p.m. — A.J. Dillon gets four straight handoffs, and he plows ahead to about the Cowboys’ 40-yard line.

4:33 p.m. — Green Bay’s offense takes the field, and Aaron Jones gets a few early touches. On 3rd and 2, he rips off an 8 yard run, then an unnecessary roughness call on Dallas moves the ball to near midfield.

4:29 p.m. — Dak Prescott goes to work to start the game, but he throws two straight incompletions on 2nd and 3rd down and the drive quickly fizzles out. That’ll be an three-and-out for Dallas.

4:28 p.m. KICKOFF — The Packers will kick off, meaning the Cowboys will get the ball first to start this one.

4:26 p.m. — Many viewers looking for the game on FOX are getting overtime in the wild Bills vs. Vikings game instead. We’ll post live updates to keep you up to date on this one.
