Dad’s ‘face dropping’ response to pregnancy announcement has viewers in stitches

Taking reactions to a new extreme, a woman’s video has gone viral online after breaking the news to her partner that they’re expecting a child.

Whether it was the ultimate shock or possibly the fact it’s their third child together, the man’s “face dropping” reaction has had viewers on popular video-sharing app TikTok in stitches. A card was initially intended to break the news, but the expectant father thought he was being pranked and struggled to contain his laughter.

The woman planned to drop the big news on her partner with a birthday card that read, “I told you so!”

However, the birthday boy thought he was being tricked with a confetti card – the kind that jumps out before you and scares the living daylights out of you.

Struggling to withhold his laughter, he even turned the card back on himself to show the camera, which launched the gift onto the floor – and immediately left him gobsmacked.

In the video, which has already surpassed 1.1 million views on TikTok, viewers thought the ordeal was hilarious.

The pregnant woman wrote: “He thought it was a confetti card!! How wrong he was!!

“I’m pregnant,” she added beside three laughing emojis.

In the duration of the clip, the man was completely convinced he had sussed out that the card was going to shock him – but not for the reason he initially thought.

He said: “I can tell by the size of it! You think I’m f*****g stupid.”

However, as soon as he discovered the news, his whole demeanour changed and he said, “Oh no! It’s not!”

“You’re not!” He exclaimed.

Whilst the video may show a speechless result to the news, the woman put blame on his reaction for being utterly gobsmacked.

“It was a shock, he’s definitely happy now,” she cleared up the situation.

In the meantime, fellow Tiktokers rushed to the comment section to shine light on the ordeal – with several not afraid to joke about the hilarious clip.

“His soul left his body for a second there,” one user joked beside three laughing emojis.

“He wishes it was a confetti card now,” a second teased beside a surprised emoji and a laughing emoji. “Only kidding. Congratulations!

“The face drop,” another penned beside five laughing emoijs.

A fourth added: “Confetti card would have been cheaper congratulations!”
