Amazon is grabbing headlines with Prime Day this week, but that’s no reason to skip other retailers. Many are cashing in on the shopping frenzy by offering their own deals. If you’re looking to upgrade your PC or get a new one, the Dell Black Friday in July event(Opens in a new window) is dropping prices by hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a variety of products.
The sale includes laptops from Dell’s Inspiron line, as well as laptops and desktops from the XPS and Alienware lines. Dell’s also dropping deals on curved monitors and more. It’s a wide selection of goods at significant price drops.
Due to the popularity of this sale, items may go in and out of stock. Dell has been known to change links, so we recommend looking through its Dell Home Savings Page(Opens in a new window) and Dell Technologies Savings Page(Opens in a new window) to find comparable products if your first choice isn’t available.

We’ve put a lot of Dell laptops through their paces in the 41 years we’ve been publishing, and it’s fair to say that they’ve never been as good as they are now. This sale has a few models that we’re quite fond of. Budget-minded shoppers should check out the Inspiron 15s in a variety of configurations. In our review, we said it “checks many of the boxes we look for in a good budget laptop,” and for up to $200 off the sticker price, it checks them even better. For something a little juicier, the Editors’ Choice-award winning XPS 15 is $595 off.

The Best Dell Desktop Deals

Sometimes a laptop just doesn’t cut it. Well, you’re in luck because Dell also has desktops on sale. We’re fond of its premium XPS line—we reviewed the 8950 model, giving it an Editors’ Choice award and saying “the sky is the limit for this tower’s configurations.” If you want something a little more compact, the Inspiron Small Desktop is $200 off. When we reviewed it, we called it a “a great fit (literally) for space-strapped shoppers.” Lots of other configurations are also represented.

The Best Dell Gaming Deals

Dell’s acquisition of Alienware in 2006 gave it a brand that’s built a ton of trust among gamers, and it’s continued to innovate on gaming hardware. There are a bunch of really solid machines in the sale, including a staggering $1,100 off of the funky, futuristic Alienware Aurora R13, which we praised for its “blazing-fast performance” in our review. Another product of note is the AW520H gaming headset for $20 off—a great value on an already affordable product.
