Tyreek Hill and Eli Apple have been known for their rivalry during games dating back to last season. But after Thursday’s game between the Dolphins and Bengals, it was an assistant coach that fired up Hill.
ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques reported after the game that Hill said a coach on the sideline said something to the star wideout that he did not appreciate.
“Whichever coach that is, I’m gonna come find you bro,” Hill said, per Louis-Jacques. “Me and you gotta have a mano a mano conversation. Cause at the end of the day, I felt disrespected as a man.”

Prior to the “Thursday Night Football” matchup, Hill called out Apple over beef the two have had since the Bengals upset the Chiefs in last year’s AFC championship game.
Hill had a big game against the Bengals despite the Dolphins falling 27-15 in the prime-time matchup. He led all receivers with 10 receptions and 160 yards, though he did not score a touchdown.
Of course, the bigger story from the game was the injury sustained by Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who after a heavy hit in the second quarter, had to leave the game on a stretcher with head and neck injuries. Coach Mike McDaniel has since said he had a concussion.

Despite the injury to Tagovailoa, Hill maintained a good connection with backup Teddy Bridgewater during the game. Hill recorded six of his 10 receptions from Bridgewater for 109 yards after Tagovailoa left with the injury.
