Eagles’ Darius Slay gifts Cooper Rush interception ball to Meek Mill during ‘Sunday Night Football’

Few athletes have embraced their home cities in recent years quite like Darius Slay. The Eagles’ shutdown corner is not only locking opposition’s top wideouts down, but Slay is also taking the “City of Brotherly Love” moniker to heart.

Last month, Slay gifted a ball to the Sixers’ James Harden after plucking Kirk Cousins’ errant pass out the sky.

And this week, Slay went one better, handing off yet another interception to one of Philly’s favorite sons: rapper Meek Mill.

Mill, the Philadelphia-based rapper known for hyped-up tracks like “Dreams and Nightmares,” “R.I.C.O.” and “Going Bad”, was one of the Eagles’ guests of honor last night, putting on a riveting (and slightly surprising) live performance prior to Sunday night’s game.

He wasn’t the only distinguished guest at Lincoln Financial Field. Between Dr. Jill Biden, Sixers superstar Joel Embiid and Meek Mill himself, the stars were out in full force on Sunday.

Nonetheless, Mill was the main attraction for Slay’s attention. And when the Philly star got his mits on a Cooper Rush pass partway through the second quarter, he only had one thing on his mind: handing it off to Mill.

Slay’s present was the highlight of a lively day at the Linc for Milly, who also got to kick it with NBC’s Maria Taylor…

It’s the Chasers, what you thought?
