East Bay man arrested for siccing his dog on random pedestrians

San Rafael police arrested a man on allegations he set his dog on random passersby at the downtown transit center.

Police officers went to the center at 850 Tamalpais Ave. shortly after 1 p.m. Monday after a 911 caller reported the incident, said police Lt. Scott Eberle. One victim who was bitten on the hand had to be treated at a hospital, Eberle said.

Officers arrested James Roy Kinslow, 58, of Crockett on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor paraphernalia possession. He remained in custody at the Marin County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Marin Humane took custody of the dog, Eberle said.
