New Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is the latest person the Red Devils have turned to in an attempt to reverse their form and fortunes.
Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, United have failed to win the Premier League and seen four permanent managers come and go.
Ten Hag replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who lasted just under three years at the helm and failed to win any silverware.
Pressure will be on Ten Hag to turn the tide at Old Trafford and the early signs aren’t promising after losing his first two games in charge.

Ten Hag contract length and salary at Man United
After assessing their options, Manchester United formally appointed Ten Hag as their latest manager on April 21, 2022.
The Dutchman was handed a contract running until June 2025 but with an option to extend for a further year.
Ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford after four-and-a-half years in charge of Ajax.
According to The Sun, the 52-year-old is earning £9 million each year (£173,000 a week) as Manchester United manager.
That salary will likely be increased if Ten Hag can achieve success at Old Trafford with the likes of Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp reportedly earning quite a lot more.
Has Ten Hag ever been fired?
Since the start of his managerial career in 2012, Ten Hag has never been fired across stints with four different clubs.
His previous good results have actually seen him climb the coaching ladder quite quickly.
Ten Hag’s first experience as manager came with Go Ahead Eagles in 2012-13 and he guided them back to Dutch top-flight for the first time in 17 years.
His performances there caught the eye of Bayern Munich, who appointed him as their U23’s coach after just one season with Go Ahead.
In 2015, Ten Hag was then offered the manager role at Utrecht, who he guided to fifth and fourth-place finishes in the Eredivisie.
Ajax would then come calling in late 2017 after they fired Marcel Keizer.
Ten Hag would end up winning three Eredivisie titles with the Dutch giants and famously guided them to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in 2018-19. Ajax beat Real Madrid and Juventus on their way to the last four and were seconds away from the final before Lucas Moura’s injury-time strike saw Tottenham triumph.

Ten Hag’s early results as manager with other clubs
It’s been a horror start for Ten Hag as Manchester United manager suffering a 2-1 defeat to Brighton at home before losing 4-0 away to Brentford.
The Red Devils sit bottom of the Premier League for the first time in 30 years and fans are already wondering if Ten Hag is cut out for the job.
Some managers take time to make an impact when they join a new club but the Dutchman has generally hit the ground running during previous roles.
Ten Hag won his first ever match as a manager with Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 and wouldn’t lose until his fifth game in charge.
It was an better start for him with Bayern Munich II as he began his reign with eight straight victories.
It wasn’t such smooth sailing at Utrecht as Ten Hag lost his first match in charge 3-2 before bouncing back and going four games undefeated.
Ten Hag then won his first game with Ajax 2-0 and wouldn’t lose until his eighth match in the dugout.
This latest stint with Manchester United therefore marks the first time in Ten Hag’s managerial career where he’s lost his first two games with a new club.
