The 2022/23 Europa League group stage is nearing a finish, and the knockout stage is just around the corner.
While the matches won’t take place until after the 2022 World Cup is complete, the matchups will be determined in short order, so teams can prepare for their places in the knockout round.
Last year’s champions Eintracht Frankfurt are competing in the Champions League group stage, having earned a place in the top competition thanks to their victory in the Europa League spotlight last year. However, the German side could still potentially have the chance to defend their title should they fail to qualify for the Champions League knockout stage and instead drop to the Europa League.
The Sporting News has all the latest on which teams will advance to what stage of competition, and how the playoff round draw will be conducted.
