The helpful advice was shared by @neat.caroline, who loves keeping a neat home, as her username suggests.
Keen to help out others, she revealed five common items you can use “to make cleaning your oven so much easier.”
First up, she recommends grabbing a vacuum cleaner. “Vacuum up stray crumbs with the crevice attachment of your vacuum,” she suggests, while demonstrating how quickly the tip helps her to clean the bottom of her oven.
Next, she films herself in her bathroom, pointing out that you can use a bath to help soak dirty oven grates.
“Soak your oven grates in a bathtub overnight, with one cup of dish-washing detergent,” Caroline advises. “The next day, use a scrub brush to scrub away grease.”
She also recommends placing an old towel underneath – presumably to prevent scratches – and remembering to wash the bath the next day.
Then, when it comes to cleaning the rest of the inside of the oven, you can use a lemon.

Caroline explains: “To clean the inside of your oven, fill a pan with water and two lemon halves. Then bring it to a boil in the oven. Once the water has come to a boil, remove the pan, let the oven cool a bit, then wipe the oven with a damp rag.”
But if all of the above steps have failed, she also knows a trick for scrubbing stubborn spots.
“Dip a toothbrush in vinegar to remove grease from hard to reach spots,” the expert says.
And last but not least, her fifth tip addresses how to clean the glass door to your oven.
“Sprinkle a little bit of baking soda, then squeeze a lemon on top. Let it sit for ten minutes. Then wipe it away with the rough side of a sponge,” she recommends.
Caroline’s tips delighted viewers, with many admitting they had never heard of these tricks before.
One person wrote: “Great tips!!!” While another said: “Never knew I could do it this way!”
And a different commenter added: “Finally someone tells me how to do this, no one has ever shown me how to clean my oven.”
