The four starting tight ends who are off in Week 11 aren’t “must-starts,” so it’s tempting to think our Week 11 fantasy TE PPR rankings are stronger than ever. However, with the loss of three highly favorable matchups for tight ends, there are likely still plenty of owners on the hunt for sleepers and waiver-wire streamers.
Jacksonville, Tampa, Seattle, and Miami are on by this week, taking away Evan Engram, Cade Otton, Mike Gesicki, and Noah Fant/Will Dissly. Engram is the biggest loss, but he’s been far from consistent, so it’s not as if his owners haven’t scoured the waiver wire before. More concerning are injuries to Zach Ertz (knee), David Njoku (ankle), and Mark Andrews (shoulder, knee). The latter two are both expected back this week but will have to be monitored. Both remain must-starts, especially in PPR leagues, despite tough matchups this week (Bills for Njoku, Panthers for Andrews).
In addition to all the injuries and tough matchups for Andrews and Njoku, several other regular starters/top streamers are in bad spots this week. Pat Freiermuth (vs. Bengals in Week 11), T.J. Hockenson (vs. Cowboys), Tyler Higbee (@ Saints), Dawson Knox (vs. Browns), Hayden Hurst (@ Steelers), Juwan Johnson (vs. Rams), and Kyle Pitts (vs. Bears) are far from sure things, though many will remain in lineups because of their target shares and upsides. We’d stick with Freiermuth, Hockenson, and Pitts, but none of the rest should get a free pass. Even Pitts, who’s disappointed far more excelled, is on the chopping block if you have a better option. His athleticism and targets (24 over the past three games) make him tough to sit, but he’s really no better than any of the other second- and third-tier options.
WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS:

Unfortunately, there aren’t many worthwhile available streamers. Greg Dulcich (vs. Raiders) might still be available in your league, but if he isn’t, you’re really looking at Robert Tonyan (vs. Titans), Cole Kmet (@ Falcons), and Tyler Conklin (@ Patriots). All are facing defenses that entered Week 10 in the top nine in fantasy points per game allowed to TEs, and all get relatively steady targets. They’re riskier in PPR formats, but they still have more upside than at least half of the higher-owned TEs we mentioned above. That would also be true for Daniel Bellinger (vs. Lions) if he’s back, if he’s not, you could take a deep shot with Tanner Hudson.

Foster Moreau (@ Broncos) could also start becoming more of a PPR factor with Darren Waller (hamstring) on the IR. He has a slightly above-average matchup this week and sees a lot of snaps and around five targets every game, so PPR owners shouldn’t ignore him on the waiver wire. The same goes for Dalton Schultz (@ Vikings), who’s much higher owned but has more trade value than most realize thanks to his rapport with Dak Prescott. A highly favorable matchup this week should have him on your radar.
As we alluded to earlier, losing the Bucs, Dolphins, and Seahawks takes away three top-10 TE matchups. That either limits sleepers or the outlooks for the top tight ends. Ultimately, it could be another lean week at what’s already a difficult position to navigate. In PPR formats, looking for “safe” targets and a high floor is never a bad thing, but considering how inconsistent most TEs are, it’s often better to play the matchups. That’s especially true if you’re an underdog or if your season is on the line.
We’ll be updating these TE PPR rankings as needed throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes and analysis.
