MANILA, Philippines—The Asia All-Stars, bolstered by Filipino imports, faltered to the Rising Stars for the first time in the Japan B.League Asia Rising Star Game.
The homegrown Rising Stars aside emerge victorious, 124-121, over the import-dominated Asia All-Stars, captained by Gilas Pilipinas star Dwight Ramos, on Saturday in Chiba, Japan.

Ramos, though, had an off night scoring just five points but notched four rebounds in the defeat with Kiefer Ravena leading the cavalry with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists in just 21 minutes of action.
AJ Edu has himself a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The guard tandem of Matthew Wright and Ray Parks Jr. also scattered 12 points each.
Notably absent from the Asia Rising Star Game is Koshigaya ace Kai Sotto, who’s currently dealing with a torn ACL, but the team made sure to still represent the towering center.

Ryo Sadohara led the Japan Rising Stars with 28 points and nine rebounds built on a blistering 60 percent field goal shooting clip. Kai King was also efficient in the win with 25 points from seven huge three-point buckets.
Allen Hachimura only scored seven points but sank the game-winning triple for the homegrown talents to keep the Asia All Stars at bay.
Ravena, Parks Jr. and Wright will continue their B.League escapades in the coming weeks for Yokohama, Osaka and Kwasaki, respectively.
Ramos (Levanga) and Edu (Kyoto) meanwhile, will juggle training with Gilas Pilipinas next month for the final leg of the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup Qualifiers.
