An interior design expert has wowed people after sharing the simple tip she uses to clean her house and sort through clutter – and it is perfect for anyone looking to make some cash from their unwanted goods

Thankfully, an interior design expert has shared the cleaning method she’s been using for years, and it is not only fast but simple to use. What’s more, it will help you to easily separate out anything you’re hoping to sell – stopping you from binning perfectly-good items with your junk, and earning you some extra cash.

Following the method is easy: you just need to remember not to drive straight into the task, even if this is the approach you might think works best.

Instead, there’s a different first step to be completed before you tackle the mess – and it is all about preparation.

As @gillaleighhome.designs shows in her TikTok video devoted to the method, setting up four cleaning baskets can work a treat.

If you take four baskets, designating each for items to keep, donate, sell, or bin, then it is much simpler to sort through your goods.

The interior design expert recommends adding a label to each basket, before she demonstrates using the system. In the video, Gilla throws soft items into the basket – clearing through the clutter in a matter of seconds.

“Empty into bags as they fill up and keep going,” she recommends. “Take these four baskets with you room to room throughout your home.”
