Google Pixel Tablet Specs Accidentally Posted to Amazon Ahead of I/O

Google is expected to reveal more details about its Pixel Tablet at this week’s I/O developer conference, but eagle-eyed web users got a sneak peek at its specs this weekend.

Pixel Tablet details were posted and then hastily deleted(Opens in a new window) from Amazon’s Japanese website, but Redditors quickly screenshotted(Opens in a new window) it and shared images before the listing was wiped. (It’s also viewable on the Wayback Machine(Opens in a new window).)

As 9to5Google notes(Opens in a new window), the long-awaited will reportedly feature Google’s Tensor G2 chip with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, as well as an 10.95-inch LCD display with a 2,560-by-1,600 resolution, and up to 12 hours of video streaming.

The Japanese listing said the tablet would be released on June 20 for 79,800 Japanese Yen (about $590). As 9to5Google reports, a previous leak last month showed European pricing for the 128GB model at €600(Opens in a new window) (around $662). The Pixel Tablet is believed to come in two colors: Porcelain (beige rear with white bezel) and Hazel.

Other leaked features include USI 2.0 stylus support, two 8MP cameras on the front and back of the tablet that capture 1080p at 30FPS, quad speakers and three microphones, support for Wi-Fi 6, and a USB-C charging port. According to the listing, the tablet also boasts Bluetooth 5.2, and a 4-pin accessory connector.

Last week, Google posted a full reveal of the Pixel Fold smartphone, which showed a second exterior screen that enables use of the device when it’s folded, among other details. Here’s what else we expect to see at Google I/O, which kicks off on May 10.
