Grizzlies vs. Pelicans live score, updates, highlights from Tuesday NBA game

On Tuesday night, Grizzlies guard Ja Morant and Pelicans forward Zion Williamson, the top two picks in the 2019 NBA Draft, were supposed meet for the first time since February 2021. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer to see that matchup.

Only two hours before tipoff, New Orleans coach Willie Green told reporters that Williamson would miss the game because of a right foot contusion. The 22-year-old forward will be considered “day-to-day” moving forward.

Memphis is also dealing with health issues. Morant will have to carry the offense without Desmond Bane, who recently suffered a toe injury, but Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is reportedly expected to make his season debut.
