Gordon Hayward is set for an extended stint on the sidelines after being diagnosed with a shoulder injury.
Hayward missed eight games earlier this month with an injury to his same left shoulder, before returning to play the Hornets’ last three games.
On Friday, he was out for their contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves and now has officially been ruled out ‘indefinitely’.

What is Gordon Hayward’s injury?
Hayward has officially been diagnosed with a fractured left shoulder.
He initially injured his shoulder against the Chicago Bulls on November 2, leaving the game in the third quarter with shoulder soreness.
He returned after eight games and appeared to reinjure his left shoulder against the Washington Wizards on November 20.

In 11 games this season, Hayward has averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
How long will Gordon Hayward be out?
Hayward has been ruled out ‘indefinitely’ and as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he will be reevaluated week-to-week.
