‘I won’t go near a man if our star signs aren’t compatible – Geminis are an instant no’

Astrology is used by many to help guide career paths and make big choices in life but one woman is so firm in her belief that she won’t date a man unless their star signs are compatible. This is bad news for Geminis, born between May 20 and June 20, as the 32-year-old won’t go near them.

Luna Atoms lives her daily life according to star signs and the Zodiac but that often means turning away relationships that are an astrological mismatch. The artist from Derbyshire has also ended friendships, purged her social media and doesn’t travel unless the stars are aligned.

“There have been times in the past when I have avoided relationships with people based purely on what the forecast has said, even if I have really liked them,” Luna told the Mirror. “If I am seeing someone during Mercury retrograde, I will end things straight away as I know this is not a good time to start something new.”

She explained: “This is because during Mercury retrograde, you are told to expect an increase miscommunications and I do not want to experience that. If I am seeing someone I also check their astrological chart, and if they aren’t compatible with me I would avoid them.

“For instance, I don’t work well with Geminis as we just clash, so I instantly dismiss a relationship if so.” Her strict rules about relationships apply to platonic ones too and has resulted in a social media purge.

“More recently on 8 November, we experienced a full ‘blood’ moon and lunar eclipse in the fixed earth sign of Taurus,” Luna said. “This advised me to let go of people and relationships that might be holding me back. So I had a clear-out and removed a few people from my contacts and on social media.”

The full blood moon and lunar eclipse is a rare astrological event and won’t happen again until 2025. The event is a visual marvel where the earth passes between the sun and the moon and leaves the moon with a reddish ‘blood’ coloured tinge.

However, her stringent approach to star signs is impacting her social life and business as she won’t start new ventures while Mars is in retrograde. Even Luna finds it a “little frustrating” to be limited by the astrological movements as it delays her work.

She said: “If I go onto the site [I use to check forecasts] and it says my injury risk is high, I won’t travel or get in the car and just walk instead. At the moment, Mars is currently retrograde until 12 January, so I’m delaying launching any new projects until after then, which is a little frustrating but I would rather be safe than sorry.”

Technology purchases are also brought into question as, according to Luna, Mercury rules communication and technology. Luna said: “At the beginning of this year, I also waited to purchase a new laptop after Mercury retrograde had ended. I would never purchase any tech equipment during Mercury retrograde – a disaster waiting to happen!”

Earlier this year she put off buying a computer due to Mercury in retrograde

Despite the limitations, Luna does not regret her choice to live her life dictated by the Zodiac: “There have been times when I thought I should stop and times when I have seen opposite affects, but I certainly don’t regret my decisions. I do believe that it’s all correlated and linked to us, we’re made from the same materials in space.

“So even though it can be overwhelming and you can scare yourself with it, I still don’t regret it. I have avoided travel when it told me I would be injured and I mean, it has kept me alive so far.

“I would 100% encourage other people to look into it, you can discover a lot about yourself and see what’s going on as a collective.”
