Driving instructor shares what she does while waiting for pupil on test

Those that have a driving licence and have spent an infinite amount of hours paying and going for driving lessons will all have the same question in mind. And no, it’s not how you can pass – it’s, what does your driving instructors do while you’re doing your test?

Sharing the exclusive and little-known insight online, driving instructor Lucy revealed the long-awaited question of what she does when her pupils drive away from the test centre. I don’t know about you but I assumed that they would be doing something rather exciting – however, it seems to be quite the opposite.

As shown by Lucy, in the video – which has now surpassed 432,000 views on TikTok – the real truth can depend on a particular day.

She said: “In case you were wondering what a driving instructor does whilst his student goes out on a test, this is what I do.

“So, here I am at this dull little test centre just chilling with a nice little view outside – as you can see.

“I’m still just chilling and waiting but usually I’ll sort my diary out, it’s called a legend planner, I love it.”

She continued: “Usually my pupils take about half an hour – so, I’m going to wait outside in the sun.

“I kind of just chill then and wait for the car to get back – and then when they’re back, I go over and see how they’re done.”

To add to the exclusive insight, users of the popular streaming app added to the comment section to share their own personal experience of what their instructions get up to.

“Mine went and got a Greggs,” one user wrote.

Lucy replied: “To be honest, I do that at another test centre there’s one right down the road

A second added: “Mine went to Costco with her mate (also an instructor with a pupil on test).

“When I got back they were stood outside with a coffee.

Lucy added: “If there’s things around me I’ll go and have a wander but there wasn’t much around this test centre!

A third penned: “My dad’s a driving instructor and he goes around the town and gets a coffee and all that”
