Lenovo’s latest display is less desktop monitor and a lot more Ray-Bans. Put a wearable display into a glasses-shaped frame that lets you work or play anywhere, and you get the new Lenovo Glasses T1, unveiled at the IFA trade show this week. Compatible with laptops and mobile devices, it provides a private personal big screen in a package that promises to be comfortable, discreet, and even stylish.
The Lenovo Glasses T1 is the latest glasses-inspired product from the company, following on from past devices like the augmented-reality Lenovo ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses from last year, or the chunkier ThinkReality A6 head-mounted display from 2019.

The new Glasses T1 ditches any augmented-reality aspirations—along with the associated cameras, sensors, and other hardware—and simplifies the wearable concept down to a single private display, visible only to the wearer. Lenovo is positioning the glasses as perfect for both hybrid work and privacy, or entertainment.
Made for working on laptops or gaming on mobile devices, the Glasses T1 use micro-OLED display technology to provide a full 1,920-by-1,080-pixel picture in each eye. Sound is included, too, with high-fidelity built-in speakers in the ear pieces, along with buttons for media and volume control.

USB-C connectivity makes the Glasses T1 compatible with current laptops, and most Android smartphone and tablets, while an included Apple Lightning adapter works with iOS devices. The convenient single-cable connection delivers power, video, and sound.

The glasses design is made to be comfortable, as well, with swappable nose clips, adjustable temple arms, and an included attachable frame that supports prescription lenses. For extra comfort in long-term use, the display has TUV certification for low blue-light emissions and flicker reduction.

The Lenovo Glasses T1 will come to China first, selling under the name Lenovo Yoga Glasses, starting later this year. The company plans to start selling them in the United States and other markets in 2023. Pricing has not yet been announced. Other firms have also recently offered smart glasses in China first, including Oppo, with global rollouts significantly delayed.
