Jerry Jeudy looked like he was destined to be one of this season’s big breakout wide receivers after Denver’s opening game, but a ribs/shoulder injury knocked him out of last week’s contest and has him “questionable” ahead of the Broncos’ Sunday Night Football matchup with the 49ers. Given the late nature of the game, knowing the latest updates on Jeudy’s status will be key before locking in your Week 3 fantasy start ’em, sit ’em decisions.
We’ll continue to update this article with news on Jeudy up until the official active/inactive report comes out on Sunday around 6:50 p.m. ET.
Is Jerry Jeudy playing Sunday night?
After failing to practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Jeudy (ribs, shoulder) got in a limited session on Friday. That’s a positive sign, but he should still be viewed as truly “questionable” ahead of Sunday night’s game against San Francisco.

After a big Week 1 in which caught four-of-seven targets for 102 yards and a score, Jeudy was quiet even before his injury in Week 2, catching just one-of-three looks for 11 yards against Houston. Denver’s entire offense struggled last week, though, and it’s unclear exactly why. With a tough matchup against San Francisco on tap, Jeudy is an extra-risky start.

If you wait for him, you better have a prime-time pivot option ready. K.J. Hamler (knee, hip), who’s also “questionable” but expected to play, would be Jeudy’s most obvious replacement on Denver, but you could also try Sterling Shepard and Richie James Jr. from the Giants or Noah Brown and Michael Gallup from the Cowboys. That’s really it unless you left open your flex spot and went with an even more volatile TE option like Jake Ferguson, Daniel Bellinger, or Albert Okwuegbunam if he’s available.

The easiest thing to do is just keep Jeudy on your bench this week. Given the matchup and injury, he’s probably not the worth the trouble. His big-play ability always gives him at least flex upside, but you don’t want to risk taking a zero (or near zero) from that spot in your lineup.
