There’s no place like home.
On Tuesday night, LeBron James returns to his Northeast Ohio home as he and the Lakers take on a Cavaliers team that has lost just once at home this season.
Historically, LeBron has saved his best for when he’s back in Cleveland. Coming into Tuesday’s meeting, James is 8-1 as a visitor against the Cavs, including a perfect 3-0 record in Cleveland as a member of the Lakers.
This time around, it’s important not to put too much stock into history, as this Cavaliers team is the best that LeBron has faced by far.
MORE: How the Lakers unlocked the best version of Anthony Davis
Led by its All-Star backcourt of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland got the best of LA earlier this season, thwarting the efforts of James and Anthony Davis. Davis is now in the midst of an MVP-like surge, but it won’t come easy with Evan Mobley and, potentially, Jarrett Allen starting in the Cavs’ frontcourt.
Will LeBron keep up his dominance in Cleveland? Or will the Cavs defend their home court once again? The Sporting News is tracking the live score, updates and highlights from James’ return to Cleveland.
