The Ravens quarterback took to the bird app on Monday.
The deadline for a potential Lamar Jackson contract update is nearing: Jackson has reportedly set a Week 1 target date to sign any new pact that will keep him locked up in Baltimore.
While some numbers have been rumored and floated about, Jackson took to Twitter to make one thing clear: The Ravens did not exceed $250 million in a contract offer to him.
When responding to a fan who suggests that the Ravens offered more than that $250 million number, Jackson simply replies, “No they didn’t.”

So, there’s that.
A recent report suggested that Jackson may want a fully guaranteed deal to mirror something similar that Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson signed this offseason; those figures would be set north of five years and $230 million, and fully guaranteed.
Earlier in August, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Baltimore is unwilling to go the fully guaranteed route, but did offer more on average annual value than what Kyler Murray received this offseason (more than $46.1 million per season).
With fully guaranteed deals for quarterbacks becoming slightly more of the norm (Watson, Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins), the former league MVP has a case to be the league’s highest paid passer.
The good news is that talks are ongoing between both sides. The bad news is that the deadline is fast approaching.
