Las Vegas Aces vs. Connecticut Sun live score, updates, highlights from Game 3 of WNBA Finals

The Sun know that they have a lot of work to do if they are going to avoid elimination and pull off an improbable WNBA Finals comeback against the Aces, so they are going to take on the challenge one game at a time.

Connecticut, which fell behind 2-0 after a dominant Game 2 win by Las Vegas, will begin its uphill climb at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday night. After the loss on Tuesday, Sun coach Curt Miller told reporters that his team won’t look at the bigger picture because that can be too “overwhelming and daunting.”

“All we talk about is Game 3,” Miller said. “In particular, all we’re gonna talk about is the first quarter, and that’s our approach. I think, if you start thinking we have to win three in a row, we have to do those kind of things, it becomes big.

“So, we’re gonna talk about Game 3, and Game 3 only.”

The Aces, meanwhile, will head into the potential title-clinching contest with tremendous confidence. WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray have been stellar throughout the postseason, and Kelsey Plum is coming off a 20-point performance in Game 2 following a rough outing in Game 1.

“It’s about time I joined the party. [Wilson and Gray have been] carrying us all week,” Plum told ESPN’s Holly Rowe. “It’s good to hit some shots, but we’ve got one more.”

Will the Aces clinch their first WNBA championship? Or will the Sun stay alive?
