Liverpool haven’t been able to catch a break so far in the Premier League this season with Luis Diaz the latest star picking up an injury.
The Reds were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal on October 9 and the loss was made even more bitter by the fact Diaz looks poised to now spend some serious time on the sidelines.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit 10th in the Premier League after eight games and already look out of title contention.
Liverpool are set to play 10 more games before the World Cup break and may struggle to get things back on track if they are without another key player.

What happened to Luis Diaz against Arsenal?
Diaz started against Arsenal on October 9 but had to be replaced after 42 minutes with a knee injury.
The Colombian was earlier involved in a heavy challenge with Thomas Partey and seemed to come off second best.
Diaz cut a dejected figure after being forced from the field and has only previously missed a handful of games through injury.
Luis Diaz injury details
Scans have confirmed Diaz will be ruled out until at least December, meaning he won’t return until after the World Cup break concludes.
He won’t miss the World Cup however as his nation Colombia failed to qualify.
Following the Arsenal match, Diaz was spotted leaving the stadium on crutches and in a knee brace to suggest his injury could be quite serious.
The 25-year-old will undergo scans on Monday with Klopp gave no timeline as yet to when Diaz could return.
“Lucho we had to change before [half-time]. [It’s] something with the knee, not good,” Klopp said post-match.
“He will have a scan and then we will know more. I have no idea about the extent…”

How Luis Diaz injury impacts Liverpool
Klopp sarcastically described Diaz’s injury as “icing on the cake” as the Reds were left without another key player.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Andrew Robertson, Curtis Jones and Arthur are all currently sidelined with injuries for Liverpool.
Diaz’s addition to that list comes at a bad time for Klopp with his stretched team to play 10 games over the next month before the World Cup break.
The Reds next face Rangers in the UEFA Champions League before playing a red-hot Manchester City in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s hopes of turning their league form around will be severely dented without Diaz in their squad.
The Colombian attacker has impressed so far in his first season for the Reds having scored four goals and contributed three assists across all competitions.
