For many adults, Christmas dinner becomes equally as exciting as opening presents. All day, they wait anxiously to dive into the mountain of food accompanied by a selection of booze before falling into a deep nap on the sofa before the abundance of board games.
However, we can all agree that hosting Christmas can be stressful. In a bid to save a few extra hours cleaning on the most festive day of the year, one man used an alternative method to save making an excessive mess during his Christmas Day feast.
After sharing his time and mess-saving hack online, he has been accused of being “lazy,” the Daily Mail reports.

Rather than serving the meal on plates, the man chose to dish up the dinner in foil oven trays.
The pictures of the hack were posted online by the man’s wife who admitted the idea was crazy.
However, since the family was big fans of the easy hack, the couple decided to do it again for another year running.
But it’s safe to say that not everyone was convinced by his hack.
One person said: “This ends up in landfill I presume. It doesn’t take long to wash a few plates – get the family involved. Get the family involved and use the pretty plates instead of this.”
While another wrote: “No, no, no – I wouldn’t eat off tin foil. So lazy.”
The original poster was forced to defend her family after receiving a number of comments about wastage, as she said they “recycle often.”
On the other hand, other people thanked the woman for sharing the nifty idea.
“Might have to do this the way my toddler keeps smashing plates – she has plastic ones but gets hold of ours,” one woman wrote.
While another called the idea “epic”.
A few people also admitted to doing something similar so that their guests can take home the leftovers, as one person put: “It works well for us because it means what’s not eaten from the buffet is taken home in everyone’s containers.”
