Man points out ‘epic fail’ with Christmas wrapping paper design and people are fuming

A man has taken to social media to show a frustrating wrapping paper design, which leaves people struggling to open it, meaning it takes longer to get the paper ready compared to actual wrapping time

Some people enjoy wrapping Christmas presents and find it really therapeutic, but others find it a massive pain – doing anything they can to try and get out of it (gift bag anyone?). Buying wrapping paper can be fun, however, as you’re tasked with deciding which whimsical Christmas pattern you want to give to people this year. Penguins or Christmas trees? Traditional patterns? There’s so many to choose from.

A man has made a video to point out that there’s a flaw with some wrapping paper, however, with some referring to it as an ‘epic fail’. TikTok user @bearded_dad_bod_86 shared his frustration with the sticker which has been placed over the actual wrapping paper, leaving him annoyed and unable to remove it.

Over the video, he wrote: “Who’s stupid idea was this!” as he can be seen trying to pull the sticker off, then he tries to get it off with scissors too. The whole nine-second clip shows him trying to remove it single-handedly to no avail.

In the comments, someone pointed out that there’s extra paper on the roll, writing: “That’s why it says extra paper I don’t know why everyone is getting so mad”, but others quickly pointed out that: “It’s not the wrapping paper it’s the 10 mins getting in it.”

Another wrote: “Whoever came up with such an epic fail needs to be put on the naughty list this Christmas!!!”

Someone else pointed out, however, that it takes ‘seconds’ to get into if you accept that the ‘extra’ can’t be used, and you just discard it.

One mum wrote: “Had exact same thing!!! In 4 separate places on 1 roll…fuming, took me longer to get stickers off then it did to wrap the actual presents!”

A TikToker pointed out that the wrapping was packaged like that so it’s ‘not wrapped in plastic’.

“It’s ruined Christmas this has”, one joked.
