A man walked into the San Bernardino Police Department this week and put what appeared to be a human jawbone and dead animal remains on the service counter and then left.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office went to the police station and confirmed that it was indeed a human jawbone.
Officers tried to find him and initially couldn’t.
On Friday, though, the day after he walked into the station house, police said they had figured out who he was but didn’t release his name because no crime had been committed.
Police declined to provide more information.
