Meghan Markle has shared a genius hack perfect for keeping your clothes smelling fresh

If you love the smell of freshly laundered clothes then you are in luck, as there’s a brilliant hack you can use to ensure your garments always smell fresh, courtesy of Meghan Markle. And who better to take advice from, given the Duchess of Sussex’s globe-trotting lifestyle.

From her numerous engagements when she and Prince Harry were senior members of the Royal Family, to her time spent travelling for her acting and activism work, she is no stranger to living out of a suitcase. So she must certainly know what a difference it can make when your clothes feel fresh. After all, smelling good and feeling good go hand in hand.

Luckily, she has just the trick for achieving this, no matter where you are. Even better, if you want to try out the Duchess of Sussex’s tip for yourself, it will cost you as little as £1.

The solution involves making use of scented tumble dryer sheets, which can also be used to similar effect around the home, according to Mrs Hinch.

Meghan explained why the sheets are useful beyond the tumble dryer in a post shared to her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.

And it is simple: you can layer them between clothes in your suitcase, as Meghan advised.

She wrote: “Your clothes will smell fresh when you arrive – and especially when you return home!”

The genius tip is also cheap, if a little unusual, as you can purchase a pack of 50 sheets for £1 at retailers like Wilko. What’s more, the trick can be easily utilised in your drawers at home, or in places around the house – as Sophie Hinchliffe is said to do.

The social media cleaning sensation, better known to her fans as Mrs Hinch, has previously touted the usefulness of tumble dryer sheets for their lovely smell.

But instead of leaving them alongside clothes, as Meghan does, she instead places them inside cushion and pillow covers.

But why not have the best of both worlds and try out both methods?
