Microsoft’s Xbox Gear Shop is selling what may end up being remembered as the most pointless controller accessory ever released.
The Xbox Mini Controller Hoodie(Opens in a new window) is a miniature hoodie with a “zipper and tiny arm holes” that your Xbox controller can wear. It’s made from 100% polyester in either black or white finishes, it’s meant for use with the Xbox Series X|S controller, and costs $24.99.
The listing for the hoodie says, “It’s the time of year where you may want to cozy up with a nice hoodie. This winter don’t let your controllers feel left out with a mini controller hoodie.” And would you believe the initial batch of hoodies has already sold out, so if you’re desperate to own one (are you…? really?), then you’ll have to place a pre-order and wait until Feb. 18-22 for it to be delivered.

The Xbox Gear Shop sells a wide range of apparel, accessories, drinkware, home & office, and collectible items. However, that $25 being spent on a controller hoodie could instead be put towards an Xbox game, or pay for a month(Opens in a new window) of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. That way your controller can stay warm in your hands while playing games rather than being wrapped in polyester and left unused.
