Minecraft may have started as a simple game about building blocks, but developer Mojang has transformed it into one of the most popular video games of all time. Having Microsoft’s support certainly helped. Soon, the Minecraft universe will expand again with a new spin-off title: Minecraft Legends. Time to get your rig ready for this upcoming PC game.
Why the Minecraft Legends Hype?
You’d have to live under a rock to not know Minecraft. Kids especially love the digital, Lego-like bricks, and the game created an environment for finding new tricks and setting up servers with friends. Minecraft is such a beloved brand that its blocky world and aesthetic have given rise to an array of spin-off titles, such as Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft: Story Mode.
Minecraft Legends, co-developed by Blackbird Interactive, takes the familiar Minecraft presentation and applies action-strategy mechanics. Similar to Overlord or Pikmin, you control a main hero who commands military units to achieve tasks. You can play alone or with friends in cooperative and competitive multiplayer action.

How Can You Play Minecraft Legends?
Historically, mouse and keyboard have been the only way to play strategy games. However, with its approachable, action-centric approach, we’re not surprised that Minecraft Legends has controller support, too. We also wouldn’t be surprised to see Steam Deck support, even if that has yet to be officially confirmed.
