Making a name for himself on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley in 2021, Montana Love is ready to become a true leading man. He will look to do so in his hometown in Cleveland on November 12.
Inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Love defends the IBF North American super-lightweight title against Stevie Spark.
“From neighborhood hero to superstar – Cleveland we did it baby!” said Love in a release. “I am happy to announce I will be defending my title here in my hometown. This is something I dreamed of as a kid. I’m looking forward to putting on a superstar performance. I need everybody in my city to come out – let’s defend the land!”
Love made his pro debut in 2015. In 2018, he fought Kenneth Sims Jr. to a draw for the WBC Youth Silver light-welterweight title. Love blew up when he beat Ivan Baranchyk via corner retirement in August 2021. He would get a ringing endorsement from Paul in December after his fight against Carlos Diaz, which he won via TKO.

Love’s last fight was in May on the Canelo Alvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol undercard. He beat Gabriel Gollaz via unanimous decision to win the IBF title.
Spark made his pro debut in 2014. The Aussie lost his only fight against Tim Tszyu in 2021 for the WBO Global super-welterweight title. Since then, he has won three in a row via TKO. Spark’s last fight was in June, beating Apinun Khongsong.
“This is the stage and moment that Montana has been waiting for – and now he needs to take it with both hands,” said Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn. “The chance to headline at home in a fight that can lead to World title action makes this the biggest night of his life, and with Cleveland’s fans behind him, this is the moment to prove he belongs in the elite.
“But Stevie has other ideas. Australia is one of the fastest-growing markets for boxing, and we’re looking to build stars Down Under. If ‘The Viking’ can pack his punch power and bring it to Ohio, he could become a major player at 140lbs overnight.”
