One of the members of the Mrs Hinch fans Facebook group recently posted: “Morning all. I need help to remove yellowing from pillows and pillow protectors, what are your best tips please?”

In the comments, many were very quick to share their hero ingredient for tackling the nasty yellow stains: Napisan.

One person commented: “Soak in Napisan overnight or at least for a few hours and then wash in the machine. Add more Napisan and usual detergent.”

While another stated: “The yellowing is sweat and I found regularly washing and adding Napisan or soaking in it helps.”

A third penned: “Napisan is the way forward, totally effortless way to get brand new pillows again.”

Napisan is an in-wash stain remover which can blast the toughest stains, even at the lower temperatures.

And the best bit is that you can pick up this product for just a few quid from most supermarket stores so you won’t need to search too much for it.

Other people in the comments suggested baking soda as one wrote: “Mix vinegar and baking soda to create a paste and put it on the pillow.”

And another stated: “Baking soda on the pillow and put it in the sun for a few hours. Vacuum the powder up and it’ll be good as new.”
