Mum mortified after buying rude Christmas wrapping paper showing Rudolph in cheeky pose

She only realised after wrapping the third present with this paper but managed to hide any rude bits with strategically placed labels

It is that time of year again when people are busy buying Christmas presents and running to different shops to find the best wrapping paper. But in all the haze of the festive period, one mum has learnt the hard way the importance of checking the pattern on your wrapping before you buy it.

Wrapping paper featuring festive colours with Reindeers in the snow would look perfect to any mum, but on closer inspection this woman’s choice was far from kid appropriate.

Mum-of-four Nicole from Queensland, Australia, recently went to the store Typo to get some wrapping paper.

She was none-the-wiser until she got to wrapping her third gift, and spotted the X-rated images on the seemingly innocent paper – leaving her in stitches.

She was given quite the surprise when she saw it

Speaking to Kidspot, she explained: “When I first saw it I had to send photos to my friend and mother to see if they noticed anything off while wiping laughing tears from my face.”

Thankfully for her, the first two presents were for her and her partner so she had a narrow escape as things could have been more difficult if all the kids gifts had been wrapped.

“I find it hilarious and have showed everyone. I put the post up on social media in case someone hadn’t noticed or may have left it too late to buy more paper, and to give people a laugh,” she said.

On making her discovery, Nicole decided to post to the Christmas Mums Australia Facebook group to share what she had seen and the responses were as you would expect.

One person wrote: “Typo is known for its slightly inappropriate, quirky things. I think it’s hilarious now I’ve seen it.”

However, other mums on the group were quick to admit that they had also bought this wrapping paper and had not noticed until after wrapping gifts as well.

So the next time you are shopping for Christmas wrapping paper, be sure to check it out before you buy it.
