Mum praised for writing sassy response to four-year-old’s progress form from school

When a mum was asked several questions about her son, she replied in the funniest way, giving sarcastic answers and no doubt amusing the teachers of her four year old son

We all want our children to make progress when they’re in school, but when they’re just four years old, some parents might not be too concerned if their little one is top of the class yet. One mum, named Emily Gould, certainly wasn’t too concerned, as on the form her son’s school gave to her when he started school, she filled it in with a hilarious response that many other parents will relate to.

Emily took to Twitter to mock the form that she’d been sent to fill in which asked her things she would like her son to work on throughout the school year. Emily didn’t understand why she would have any particular goals for her four-year-old son and made that clear on her form.

Four questions can be seen on the form, and Emily’s responses were sarcastic to all of them. She tweeted the picture of the form with the caption ‘just being honest’, followed by what’s colloquially known as the ‘sassy’ emoji.

The first prompt says: “Socially, one thing I would like my child to work on this term is:”

Emily wrote: “Not being a popular mean girl.”

The second prompt reads: “Academically, one thing I would like my child to work on this year is:”

“Lol, who cares, he’s four”, she quipped.

When asked to describe her son in three words, she wrote: “Radiant, self-sufficient, and effortlessly cool.”

The final question on the form was: “Is there anything else you would like me to know about your child?” to which Emily replied: “You will love Ilya. He’s such a sweet person that sometimes I wonder if he was switched at birth. (Then I remember I had a home birth lol).”

Her candid responses cracked people up, with one replying: “I’m sure the teachers appreciated your snark! You’re so cool.”

Someone else said: “Omg what on earth could a four-year-old possibly ‘work on’?”

Another responded, jokily: “4-year-old here – I’d like to spend less time on social media and more time with my friends and family.”
