When it comes to our little ones, we may often worry about the smallest things in the hopes that our children aren’t in any pain. On the other hand, we are aware that our thoughts might get the better of us and we’re left panicking for no reason.
A woman has taken to popular forum Mumsnet, therefore, to ask for advice as her 15-year-old daughter still has many of her baby teeth, which she’s evidently worried about. The fearful parent shared her concerns in a post online, which has sparked outrage online. She captioned: “My 14-year-old old still has a lot of her baby teeth, is this normal?”

“My darling daughter, 14, doesn’t have all her adult teeth, I’d say all bar one, of her molars are still baby teeth. Is this normal?” The worried parent asked people online.
Many fellow mums and dads were quick to share outraged comments on the post, telling the mum to go to the dentist immediately.
One parent wrote: “Take her to the dentist now. No, it’s not normal.
“My 13-year-old has just been given an urgent referral to the orthodontist and dental surgeon (on the NHS ) for the same. Google it; she needs it seen by a professional.”
A second added: “Definitely not normal!”
“Take her to the dentist asap, I have this but didn’t know until I was an adult, my molars are a right mess now and it’s costing me a small fortune to sort,” a third added.
“If it’d been done when I was a teenager then it would’ve saved me time, money, and unnecessary pain.”
However, on the other hand, a parent has shared that a similar experience happened to her son – and it’s seemingly normal.
They explained: “My son only had his last 12-year-old molar come through at 15. Dentist was not concerned as it was all progressing, in a typical order, just a bit late.”
Experts have said that by the age of 12 children should have lost their baby teeth.
A post on Healthline reads: “Your baby will begin to gain teeth around six months of age, and this will continue until around the age of three.
“From the age of six, your child will eventually lose all of their baby teeth by the time they’re 12 years old.”
