‘My nasty neighbour called the police on me after I sent her a glittery Christmas card’

A new mum claims she became so sick of her nightmare neighbour’s antics, she decided to take revenge by sending her a Christmas card filled with glitter. She didn’t take it well and ended up calling the police

A woman claims her nightmare neighbour called the police on her after she sent her a glitter-filled Christmas card as revenge. According to this new mum, she recently moved into “a nice little neighborhood” with her husband and newborn baby, but soon started having issues with this particular neighbour.

One evening, her husband was out walking their tiny Corgi puppy, said to be “literally the least terrifying animal on earth”, and was left surprised by the neighbour’s dramatic reaction to it running up to her. She apparently “shrieked” and ran back inside her house, and when her husband headed over afterwards by himself to apoligise, she screamed at him and “cussed him out.”

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of the matter. Just a few days later, a humane officer turned up at the couple’s door, and told them they would be fined for allowing the pup to “charge” the neighbour if it ever happened again, stating she had been left “terrified for her safety.”

The neighbour has previously called the police “multiple times” on another one of their neighbours for mowing too close to their lawn and – in a particularly shocking incident – went as far as to kidnap their cat. Eventually, the fed-up mum reached her limit and decided to seek revenge.

Taking to Reddit, where she goes by the username u/Sickening_toe, the vengeful woman recalled: “I found an online website that anonymously sends people glitter bomb Holiday/Christmas cards so when you open it, it shoots glitter EVERYWHERE. Like a month goes by and I was wondering if this website just took my money or if she just wasn’t going to say anything about it.

“I s*** you not a cop comes to my door, asks to come inside and then busts out laughing explaining he’s here over a glitter Christmas card. He tells me I made his day and that was the funniest call he’s ever ran and leaves. Totally legal and great petty revenge.”

She went on to clarify that she is now on surprisingly good terms with the neighbour, who is apparently “just a bit socially anxious” beneath her Karen exterior. They apparently smoothed things over after she brought her over a cat she couldn’t keep as a peace offering.

Although some didn’t believe they could have become friends after all the drama that had gone down, the mum shared a screenshot of a text exchange where the neighbour laughingly admitted she still had the card.
