Myles Garrett car crash: Browns DE suffers ‘minor, non-life threatening injuries’ after single-car accident

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in a single-car accident on Monday afternoon, the team has confirmed per multiple reports.

Garrett was taken to a hospital after the crash, along with a female passenger who had been with him in the vehicle. Both suffered “minor, non-life threatening injuries” during the ordeal, per Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland.

Garrett’s crash occurred near Wadsworth, Ohio around 3 p.m. ET, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol officials. During the incident, Garrett’s 2021 Porsche “went off the right side of the road and flipped several times before coming to a rest.”

The 26-year-old Garrett had attended Browns practice in Berea earlier in the day and was presumably returning home from practice at the time of the accident. Wadsworth is roughly 30 miles from Berea.

Both Garrett and his fellow passenger were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, per WKYC. The cause of the crash is not yet known, but neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to it.

The car was severely damaged in the crash, per photos from WKYC.

It’s unclear exactly what injuries Garrett may have suffered in the accident and whether they will keep him out of action for the Browns. Cleveland is set to play Atlanta on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. ET.

For now, Garrett and his family are just “thankful” that his injuries are “not more serious.”

More to come. . .
